September at Sawtooth
front & NEW MEDIA galleries
Enucleo will exhibit a selection of work representing contemporary Australian ceramic art practice that seeks to challenge the audience to re-imagine the medium of clay outside the realms of objectification and function.
Enucleo is being designed to present a divergent scope of contemporary approaches to ceramic art and assemble work that combines unique conceptual premise unrestrained by established processes. The exhibition will question the agency of ceramic art and the aspects of the ultimate audience engagement with it that are denied, or provided, by conventional presentation.
The assembly of diverse yet equally important works will be exhibited in order to contribute to the discourse that explores ceramics as a medium in a constant state of flux within creative culture. We will be exhibiting works by Kris Coad, Juz Kitson, Arun Sharma, Penny Byrne, Walter Auer, Marta Armada, Addison Marshall, and Alex Standen.
