Wendy Robbins
Wendy was conceived in West Moonah and born in Melbourne. At 15 she left school and began an eclectic career: she worked as a publicist for Sydney Dance Company, ran a wooden boatyard and events company in Sydney Harbour, project managed major renovation challenges and public art installations with X2Design, and established a number of commercial catering businesses. She lived for several years in Japan and London, before raising two strong daughters in Sydney.
In 2018 Wendy bought the Royal Oak, one of Launceston’s oldest and most iconic pubs. Her vision is to nurture the live music culture that is its beating heart, and to create a new style of public space shaped by the vibrant community it serves.
