Since being incorporated in 1998 Interweave has additionally operated a diverse range of community focused arts programs, managed many public events including exhibitions, projection events, and performances, and has commissioned numerous public artworks that continue to contribute to the cultural frameworks of the region.
‘Cosy Within’ features recent Interweave Community projects and Studio Artworks including:
Shrines to Honour - Remade 2023,
Focus on Peace - Performance Circles & Fabric Panels,
Mesmerise -a collaboration between Jude Walsh & Brian Abraham, with studio sketches and AI generated projection.
Great Yarns an interactive and immersive installation by Ralf Haertel and Derek Voorpostel, utilising recycled crocheted and knitted rugs collected over many years, and celebrating the personal hidden histories that are embodied within.
Crafty Knot Magic a suspended crochet workspace by Jaqui Hovenden.
Interactive making workshops to engage and contribute to these works will be held as part of ‘Cosy Within.’
